Practice policies
Insurance may be accepted for eligible standard psychotherapy services. Your benefits, coverage, copays, deductibles and any authorization requirements will be reviewed prior to your first appointment. Coverage cannot be guaranteed, as benefits are determined by your plan.
Extended 75-minute EMDR sessions are offered on a self-pay basis only and are not billed to insurance.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments, may be charged the full session fee.
This policy preserves appointment availability for all clients and allows time to offer openings to others.
For your privacy, sensitive information should be shared through your secure client portal. Email and phone are monitored during business hours but are not fully secure for confidential matters.
Information shared in session is kept strictly confidential under state and federal law, with the standard exceptions: imminent risk of harm to yourself or someone else, suspected abuse of a child or elder, court orders, and other legal or ethical obligations.
Letters or forms outside scheduled sessions require professional review and preparation time and are generally not covered by insurance.
Requests typically require 5-10 business days. Fees are due prior to release of completed documentation and reflect professional time, clinical complexity and judgment, not page count.
ESA documentation is considered only for established clients under direct clinical care for at least 60 days. Issuance is never guaranteed and depends on clinical appropriateness.
